Hi, I'm Melinda.
I'm a counselor, wife, mom of three, and a person who believes some of the best conversations happen when people are willing to be honest about the hard stuff.
Outside the counseling room, I love fireside conversations, fireworks, time with my family, and a good project I can completely lose myself in. I'm an introvert who genuinely loves people. I just need a little, or a lot, of quiet afterward.
I value honesty, loyalty, my faith, humor, and showing up for the people I love. Those things shape who I am personally, and they inevitably shape the kind of counselor I am, too.
My Story
I've spent more than 25 years sitting with people in some of the hardest seasons of their lives: marriages in crisis, betrayal, grief, family wounds, anxiety, and moments when someone realizes something has to change.
Over the years, both counseling and teaching psychology have reinforced something I believed from the start. People need more than someone who simply listens. They need a place where they can be completely honest, feel understood, and also be challenged when change is needed.
That's the kind of space I try to create. I'm compassionate, but I'm also direct. I'll help you slow things down, understand what's really happening underneath the surface, and figure out what to do next. My goal isn't perfection. It's honest, growth, healthier relationships, and meaningful change.
